I am the (not so old!) French Canadian girl behind So Perfectly Simple.
I like cooking & baking and hosting friends and family. And I love planning and blogging!
My goal when I started this blog was to share my experience and help younger ones plan and throw dinners & parties… But since I blog, I love it so much that I wanted to help older ones like me share their knowledge and experience too!
Because Blogging Is Also Hosting Friends!
No matter where I host my friends, in my living room, or on my website, entertaining people bring so much joy to my life!
My goal is to help you host your friends at home or on your blog like a pro!
I aim to prove to you that no matter where you choose to host your friends & family, hosting and blogging is fun and much easier than you think!
But I also know how stressful hosting can be, and I understand it discourages many of you… So much work to do and so many things to manage. We sometimes need help figuring out where to start…
I know exactly how you feel! I used to be totally scared just thinking about hosting friends at home, so imagine how frightened I was when I decided to blog! Oh, my gush! So many new things to learn. I was totally lost and didn’t even know where to start!
That’s why I decided to help you both, younger and older ones! 😉
I want to become your new best friend, the friend you can rely on!
Oh, and in case you’re wondering if you have what it takes to host friends at home or on your website, my answer is YES!

…I’m just a simple person.
Obviously, I have no diploma or degree in hosting, but I’ve been hosting all my life, so I kind of know what I’m talking about!
And I’m not an expert in blogging either, but I discovered many tips and tools to make my blogging journey easier, and I just can’t wait to share them with you!
Over the years, I have learned how to plan everything, and believe me… Planning is my thing!! I discovered that with a good plan, no matter what you do, hosting a fancy dinner or starting a new blog, the more prepared, the less stressful!
I developed simple technics to avoid stress and make hosting as fun for me as it is for my guests!
I thought it was finally time to share 😉
I want to help you and guide you.
I will share all my best tricks and prove that hosting and blogging are much easier than you think! And so much fun!
Why I named my blog
So Perfectly Simple?
Well, because I’m a bit of a perfectionist, just like many of us… and I’m all about Simple things!
Who said that we always have to be perfect?
I quickly realized that it’s very exhausting to try to be perfect!
I truly believe that nothing has to be complicated to be ”perfect”.
All it takes is a bit of planning!
So, what will I do for you?
For those of you thinking about starting a blog and hosting friends on your website, I will share all my tips & tricks. Talk about my favorite tools and resources and guide you to start your blog. I really want to make things easy and simple for you!
Starting my blog was the best thing I ever did! I just love being a blogger! It brings me so much joy, and I feel so proud of myself!

And you don’t even need a special occasion to create a ” Special Occasion ” !! You can set a party whenever you want 🙂 you don’t need any reason!

First, I must admit that English is not my first language…but you probably already noticed that!! 😄
I’m a French Canadian girl, and even though I speak English every day… I still have to practice my writing!! But I keep on learning!
So now, a bit more about me…
When I’m not on my blog, I work as a Branch Manager and customer service supervisor. I manage a team of over 20 people and deal all day long with our wonderful clients; definitely my favorite part of my job!
As a branch manager, I have to plan my work but also organize and plan my coworker’s work…See? Again, planning is my thing!!
I’ve been married for a long, long time, and we have a beautiful girl and two wonderful grandchildren.
I like books, coffee, kayak, good food, wine…and I love desserts!
I also like cooking and baking, discovering new recipes, learning new things, having my daughter and grand-child over, spending time outside, walking in the woods, going to the beach…ok, I will stop here! ha! ha! There are so many things that I like; that list could last forever!
And you know what?
One of the most important things I realized is sharing with friends is all it takes to be happy!
I really enjoy writing and sharing on this blog, and I hope you will enjoy reading it!
